Currently creating artworks for B2B Advertising Agencies, Packaging Innovators, and Medical Communications Agencies.
Working on the Co-operative team producing all forms of packaging. These projects include litho cartons and sleeves, flexo and gravure labels and flexo printed films. I created artworks following strict brand guidelines which must also adhere to the Food Industry Regulations. I then repro the files to printer specifications.
At Schawk, I managed a team of 12 people producing all artworks and repro for all Coca-Cola brands in the Benelux region and France. We produced approximately 6ooo SKUs annually.
I mainly produced artwork, retouch images and general pre-press work for 4 & 5 colour B1 sheetfed litho presses. Our customers included Adidas, M&S, Shell Oil & Littlewoods.
Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the artwork and repro studio which involved designing and generating artwork, photo retouching, graphic illustration, imposition and outputting to various proofing and film devices.
I created artworks ranging from small stationery projects to brochures and event programmes. I gained a wealth of experience from liaising with printers and print finishers.
As a Trainee Mac Operator in a studio of three Mac Operators and two Designers, I became experienced using the Macs to generate artwork to repro standard.
Well versed in page makeup creating stationery, adverts, flyers, exhibition stands, brochures and catalogues.
Experienced using illustrator for creating technical illustrations, brand logos and more recently creating packaging artworks.
I've been using Photoshop for image manipulation, colour matching to products for clients such as JCB, M&S & Littlewoods.
Historically using high-end repro systems such as Scitex and Dalim Litho for trapping etc. I am currently using illustrator with Deskpack plugins and also use manual trapping techniques for litho, gravure and flexo print processes.
Experienced as administrator for workflow systems such as Scitex Brisque, Xinet Fullpress, Dalim TWiST and Heidelberg Prinect. More recently using Esko Automation Engine & Cloudflow for file management, trapping and PDF creation.
